This handmade, slab-built vessel with a wabi-sabi aesthetic, shows the texture and imprint of human touch. It is a rebellion against perfection and machine made creations. The texture comes from spring plants in my garden, pressed into clay. This creates a realistic, but stylized call to nature. A cream satin glaze with light blue gray speckles and highlights over the botanical texture. The vessel is approximately 4in in diameter, by 3.75in high, with a a 1.5in opening.
