This handmade, slab-built vessel with a wabi-sabi aesthetic, shows the texture and imprint of human touch. It is a rebellion against perfection and machine made creations. The texture comes from spring plants in my garden, pressed into clay. This creates a realistic, but stylized call to nature. A glossy lavender celadon glaze over matte pink, that breaks both a blue and deep reddish purple. The vessel is approximately 3.5in in diameter, by 4.5in high, with a a 2in opening.
